Janet Echelman, inspirada por los pescadores locales de Oriente, crea redes de gran tamaño que, mediante métodos artesanales y conocimietos tecnológicos, quedan suspendidas en el aire convertidas en esculturas llenas de ligereza y color.  Al amparo de los fenómenos meteorológicos, estas estructuras parecen cobrar vida con el viento y la lluvia, como si esperasen pescar algo caído del cielo.

Inspired by local fishermen in the Far East, Janet Echelman makes big fishing nets which, through artisanal methods and technological skills, are left hanging in the air turning into sculptures full of lightness and color.  Exposed to weather conditions,  these structures seem to regain life with the wind and the rain as if they were trying to catch something falling from the sky,
