Tengo malas noticias, al menos para aquellos que, como yo, crecieron con el tierno mensaje de David el gnomo. Hace poco descubrí, con espanto, dolor e incredulidad, que esta dulce serie tenía un final de esos que te hacen plantearte el consumo temporal de prozac.

I have bad news, unless for those that, like me,  grew up with the tender message of David the gnome. Recently I found out with horror, pain and skepticism that this sweet tv show has one of those ends  which makes you consider prozac short term use.

New girl

He visto los cuatro primeros capítulos de la recientemente estrenada "New Girl" y debo decir que me ha sorprendido gratamente. No sé porqué esperaba una comedia llena de estereotipos y clichés pero me he encontrado con situaciones graciosas y personajes divertidos. Con Zooey Deschanel como protagonista (algunos la recordareis por "500 días juntos") New girl es realmente entretenida. Y eso ya es bastante.

I´ve seen first four episodes of recent tv show "New Girl" and I must say it pleasantly surprised me. Don´t know why  I expected a comedy full of stereotypes and clichés but  I found entertaining  situations and funny characters. With Zooey Deschanel playing the leading role (some of you might remember her in "500 days of summer") New girl is really enjoyable. And that´s quite enough.

Materiales cotidianos

Corey D´augustine es artista visual, conservador y profesor de arte afincado en Nueva York. En sus creaciones utiliza diversos materiales que habitualmente encontramos en nuestro entorno: piezas de coche, puertas, lámparas... En estas fotografías podéis ver lienzos pintados con aceite de motor, maquillaje y asfalto. Usados con un fin distinto de aquel para el que fueron creados, estos materiales adquieren texturas y colores únicos.

Corey D´augustine is visual artist, curator and art teacher settled in NY. In his works he uses different materials we usually find around us: car pieces, doors, lamps... In this photos you can see motor oil, make up and asphalt on canvas. Used with a different purpose from those  for what they were  created, these materials have unique colours and textures.

En una gran ciudad como escenario y con diminutos personajes como materia prima Slinkachu(little people project)   crea imágenes que inspiran ternura, soledad y la fragilidad del que descubre que en realidad es muy muy pequeño.

In a big city and with tiny characters as material, Slinkachu (little people project) creates images that inspire tenderness, loneliness, and the fragility typical of those who realize that, in fact, they are very small.
